The studio focuses on the emerging multilevel urban conditions that are rapidly changing how cities are conceived and organized. The project is strategically situated in Singapore at the heart of the central business district (CBD) area with great views to the Marina Bay, Singapore Straits and Chinatown. The main concepts behind the design are movement and views. It is all about people moving and interacting throughout the different spaces. Framing different views and creating different experiences as one walks through the space also help makes the everyday more exciting and intriguing. The project essentially consists of 3 towers linked together by 5 bridges at different intersections. Each bridge is programmed differently to accommodate the different users within the towers. As one moves up the tower, one is able to stumble upon different niches that are unique and interesting. By making the towers public and transparent from top to bottom, it invites the public to explore the different programs that are available and breaks the norm of creating privatized spaces.
